JP Michi is distributed through two separate channels, and the terms below differ slightly depending on where you purchased it. Please refer to the section that matches your platform.

What you're buying

JP Michi is a one-time purchase application for Japanese language study. No recurring fees, no subscriptions, no hidden charges — regardless of which version you use.

Desktop version (Windows) — purchased via Gumroad

Your purchase includes a license key that activates the desktop app. The license key is generated and delivered by Gumroad at the time of purchase.

Android version — purchased via Google Play

The Android app is available as a free download from Google Play with a limited set of free content. Full access to all content is unlocked via a one-time in-app purchase processed and billed entirely through Google Play. There is no separate license key for the Android version — your purchase is tied to your Google Play account.

License

Desktop (Gumroad)

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the JP Michi desktop app on your own devices. A single license key lets you install it on multiple devices for personal use, with a reasonable usage limit to prevent abuse.

Android (Google Play)

Your purchase grants you a personal license to unlock full access to the Android app, tied to the Google Play account used at the time of purchase. If you reinstall the app or switch devices while signed into the same Google Play account, you can restore your purchase from within the app at no extra cost, using the "Restore Purchases" option. Access is not transferable to a different Google Play account.

Refunds

Desktop (Gumroad)

You're covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. Refunds are requested and processed directly through Gumroad.

Android (Google Play)

Purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play's own refund policy, not ours. Google Play generally allows automatic refunds within 48 hours of purchase directly from the Play Store. After that window, refund requests are handled at Google's discretion through Google Play support. We are not able to issue refunds for Google Play purchases directly.

Updates

All content updates to JP Michi are included with your purchase on both platforms. You won't be charged for new grammar points, kanji, or features added down the line.

The obvious stuff

The app is provided as-is for educational purposes. Don't redistribute it, resell it, or try to reverse-engineer the licensing on either platform. The content is for learning Japanese — it's not official JLPT material.
